In 1902 John and Florence Haden (J.F.) sailed to West Palm Beach, Florida and brought back 4 dozen Mulgoba fruits to plant on their property in Miami. It was the first time anyone in America had successfully cross two species of Mangos and were successful at growing a fruit that would be known and recognized across the world. The fruit that this tree produced in 1910 was ultimately responsible for tens of thousand Mango trees that popped up throughout Florida and became known as the Haden Mango.
